5th Grade's 50th Birthday project for SOE

Shadow Oaks 5th grade students worked on locating pictures to create an Animoto for our 50th birthday party and celebration. Each class was assigned a decade, and 5th grade was assigned the 2000s, essentially the 21st century. Because of technical difficulties, I helped them with the project.

5th grade begins to study the U.S. Civil War

One of my 5th grade classes came in and they used our new Mac books and created US Civil War projects on Bookr. They had just started the Civil War unit and had not completed learning about this period of time. THEY LOVED IT!!! THEIR TEACHER LOVED IT! When it was time to go, they didn't want to because they were having fun and learning! It was truly one of the highlights of my week!

Earlier this spring many of our second, third, and fourth grade classes worked the new Mac books creating an Animoto. I conferenced with their teachers and we planned appropriate topics for them to work on. For various reasons, not everyone was able to complete the project, but here is one class that did....
